Geotag (image positioning information of pictures such as latitude, longitude [Geodetic System WGS84]) can be added to the image. Correlation between images and maps is supported by the GPS function in conjunction with version 1.2 software and my Picturetown ViewNX. With the Nikon GP-1 GPS unit Geotag adapter, can be added to geotag the images you can record the latitude, longitude, altitude and time. Thank you to the modern satellite technology, it is now easy to look at the photographs of the positions, or even points on the maps.
